    #1: Tom; You have a gazilion photos through out your on-line persona. The only one of you, of an up close portrait nature, is unusually stern. As a big fan, may I suggest posting a couple of complementary portrait shots that can be downloaded for general use.
    Hope we’re able to see you three over the Christmas holidays! Peace; Bill Casey
    #2: I’ve signed up for your blog. Will it therefore be sent automatically to my email when you post a blog entry, or will I have to go searching for recent entries? Case
    #3: Is there anywhere w/i the American diplomatic corps that a recently minted undergraduate, that is targeting diplomatic service as a career can petition to enjoy a summer externship? Case

    1. tsl2m5 says:

      Hi Bill! Sorry, it seems this was sorted into the wrong email folder and slipped past me. Yes, I need to get a professional photo. The department does this every now and then, so I’ve been waiting for the next round. You should get an automatic notification when I post (which isn’t as often as I’d like). Yes, there are some internship programs through the US State Department. Also, entrance to the Foreign Service is open to recent graduates, starting with a competitive but highly meritocratic exam. Information on the State Department internships is here: https://careers.state.gov/intern/

      1. William Casey says:

        Professor Tom; Would you be willing to network with this young person finishing his undergraduate? Couldn’t you guide him re: graduate studies and pursuit of appropriate internships?
        Please let me know if I can share your contact information.
        Peace;
        Case
